Originally the Hannibal & St. Joseph, this line eventually
became the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy (CB&Q) Railroad. When service to
Breckenridge and nearby stations was curtailed, Paul Hobbs and friends
jokingly referred to it as the "Chillicothe, Breckenridge and Quit Railroad."
