| William "Black Bill" Hudgins was born into slavery about 1820 in Kentucky. He was a former slave of William Hudgins (1789-1874) of Mooresville Twp., Livingston Co. Black Bill married Harriett, a former slave of the William Goben family of Mooresville Twp. This image was found in a photo album in the possession of Myra P. Hudgins-Curran (1856-1949), a granddaughter of the slave owner. |
