Clifton "Charles" Currin was born June 18, 1849 in Tazewell Co., Virginia, the sixth child of
Waddy T. Currin and Martha Wynne. He married (1) Maggie Peery on January 1, 1877. Maggie was born about 1857 in Missouri. The child shown here is Hervy W. Currin, born about 1879 in Jameson, Daviess Co. Charles was a druggist in Jameson when their two children (Hervy and Lulu) were born. Charles married (2) Emily N. "Emma" Cunningham on March 18, 1885 in Mooresville. The following year they moved to Blue Mound Township, Livingston Co., where he worked as a druggist. Emma was postmaster at Dawn from 1912 to 1922. |
