Josephine Gates Hudgins (1862-1958)
She was a daughter of John Hudgins and Susan Stamper. Josephine, known to
some as "Joel" but affectionately called "Aunt Jote"
in her later years,
married David Long of Cincinnatti, Ohio. They lived and worked in
Cincinnatti
for a time then returned to Mooresville where they spent their
remaining days.
