Rosa Marie Zullig

Rosa was born October 5, 1880 in Mooresville Township and died July 3, 1966. She was a daughter of Joachim "Jacob" Zullig and Veronica Boch. She married Sam McCreary. When she was pregnant with twins she was mauled by the neighbor's dog. One of the twins was born dead. Rosa said she knew that something bad happened the minute she was knocked down and mauled. The stillborn child was buried in the yard. When Rosa's daughter Winifred, the surviving twin, died in 1996, George Roberts III paid to have the twin's grave in the yard exhumed and that baby is now buried next to Winifred in Mooresville Cemetery. George and Linda always took care of Winifred. Winifred never married. She lived in the house where Burrell Frazier died, north of Mooresville and a short distance west of River Road. It was Winifred's wish to be buried with her twin sister.
