Mooresville Main Street
about 1910
This view looks north across the Pikes Peak Ocean-to-Ocean Highway and up
Main Street.
At far left is the home of Thomas G. Petree and family; slightly
to the right is the Hiram Benson home, still standing in 2002.
On the far
right is the former home of Jeremiah Albaugh and behind that is the Albaugh
livery barn.
In the 1870s and 1880s, spare rooms in the "Albaugh House Hotel" were rented
to travelers.
The livery included a spacious second floor which was used for
town meetings, shows and square dances.
