Elston Henry Stout (1909-2000)
Evelyn Lois Bothwell (1913-2007)

Elston "Bud" Stout was Mooresville Postmaster effective August 9, 1940. The post office was located in the old Mooresville Savings Bank building where a small grocery store was also kept. When Vernon Will resigned as the rural mail carrier in 1942, Mr. Stout resigned his Postmaster position to accept the higher-salaried carrier job. In 1943 he transferred to the Railway Mail Terminal in Kansas City where he completed a 31-year career with the postal service.

Evelyn Lois Zimmerman is the daughter of Anson Lyman Zimmerman and Jessie Ana Hodges of Pike County, Illinois. Lois was adopted by Estelle Bothwell of Breckenridge.

"Miss Estelle Bothwell, who had been in St. Louis for several days, surprised her relatives and friends Monday by stepping from the early morning train with a handsome seven months old baby girl which she had adopted."  -- The Breckenridge Bulletin, March 27, 1914.
