Diasastrous Fire in Mooresville

This photo was taken June 22, 1910, the morning after a fire destroyed two buildings on the east side of Main Street. Lost were the Charles W. Miller general store and Dr. Charles W. Patton's drug store. Other buildings on both sides of the street were charred by the heat.

The buildings seen on the west side of Main Street are, from left, the telephone central office, the combination barber shop and pool hall, and the Rudy Cross general store. These buildings were destroyed by fire in 1914.
