Hudgins - Comstock Grocery

Gilbert "Gill" Hudgins (1869-1942) and his brother-in-law, James Comstock, (1880-1958) were partners in the grocery business. They occupied the store building previously used as the Gus Bernard grocery store.

Gill Hudgins is standing on the right with his ever-present cigar. Jim Comstock is in the derby hat.
This store building was constructed in 1859 by William Bond Moore, founder of Mooresville.
