Bob and Robert Hicks
Robert Hicks Jr. and Sr.
Robert Jr. raised his sons alone, following his
wife's death from complications from a routine tonsillectomy. I believe he
had four sons but I knew only three of them. His youngest son, Kenneth,
suffered from MS and died several years ago.
Robert lived in Breckenridge and was in charge of maintenance at the
Breckenridge school. That allowed him to be close to his kids. As I
remember, he was very popular with all the students, especially the boys,
and was known to them as "Burlie."
