He is a grand old gentleman." -- June 15, 1882.

According to PAST AND PRESENT OF LIVINGSTON COUNTY (1913), Isaac came to what is now Livingston County in 1818 from Kentucky and lived here alone until 1821. It's more likely that he lived and worked in Clay County, Missouri until November 1833 when he and his relatives moved to what became Livingston County.
